Full Stack Software Engineer - AI 6-Month Contract | Melbourne | Immediate Start n
We're partnering with a large enterprise organisation building a new AI capability focused on developing agentic solutions that improve staff productivity.

We're looking for two experienced Full Stack Software Engineers who combine strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience designing and building AI-driven solutions.

This is not a Data Engineering role. You'll be expected to build complete software solutions around AI capability, including the application layer, integrations and user experience.

This is not a Data Engineering role. You'll be expected to build complete software solutions around AI capability, including the application layer, integrations and user experience.
What you'll be doing n
n
Design and build agentic AI solutions from concept through to working prototype
n
Develop full-stack applications with a clean, business-focused user experience
n




Build backend services primarily using Python and frontend applications using React
n
Work with platforms such as AWS Bedrock and Google Cloud's agent capabilities
n
Determine when to use deterministic workflows versus LLM-driven decision making
n
Take ownership of technical design, architecture and delivery
n
Work autonomously in a fast-moving environment where requirements will continue to evolve
n
Clearly communicate technical decisions with technical and business stakeholders
n
What we're looking for n
n
Strong commercial software engineering or full-stack development experience
n
Hands-on experience building GenAI or agentic AI solutions
n
Solid Python development experience
n
Experience with React or similar modern frontend technologies
n
Exposure to AWS Bedrock and/or GCP AI / Agent platforms
n
Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs and enterprise application development
n
Comfortable using AI coding tools while still being able to fully understand, explain and own the code produced
n
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
n

We're particularly interested in strong software engineers who have moved into Applied AI / GenAI and can demonstrate solutions they have personally designed and built.
