As our services continue to grow and more older Queenslanders choose AQ for their care and support needs, we are expanding our Community Care team. Due to increased demand and a growing client base, an exciting opportunity has become available for compassionate and reliable Community Support Assistants to join our team on a casual basis, supporting clients in the Gordon Park area.

This is a rewarding role where you will make a genuine difference to the lives of people aged 65 years and over, helping them remain connected to their community while maintaining their independence, wellbeing, and quality of life.

About the Role

As a Community Support Assistant, you will provide a range of in-home and community-based supports tailored to each client's individual needs and goals. Working with a strong person-centred approach, you will play an important role in helping clients continue living well in the place they call home.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities
- Support clients to access their community and participate in social activities
- Assist with meal preparation and light domestic tasks
- Build positive, respectful relationships with clients and their families
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the wider care team

About You

You are passionate about supporting older people and genuinely enjoy building meaningful connections with those in your care.



You are dependable, compassionate, and able to work independently while remaining connected to a supportive team.

Essential Requirements:

- Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or Community Care
- Previous experience supporting older people in a community setting
- Strong time management skills and ability to work autonomously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current Queensland Open Driver's Licence
- Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- Smartphone
- National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
