Sport Integrity Australia are looking to fill the role of Complaints Capability Lead - Affirmative Measure - Disability - Executive Level 1 under Affirmative Measures - Disability

About the role The Complaints Capability Lead (CCL) will provide strategic leadership to support complaint capability uplift across the sport sector. The CCL will focus on delivering complaint support to the national and state levels of sport through close stakeholder engagement with their respective National Integrity Managers (NIMs) and appropriate State level contacts.

Provide specialist technical advice about:

- when an allegation may constitute prohibited conduct under the NIF (in consultation with relevant policy owners)
- the procedural steps required when considering provisional action
- whether a matter should be managed as a Code of Conduct breach, a NIF matter or managed through an informal or an alternative process
- procedural fairness obligations, including when and how to notify the Respondent and other complaint parties
- managing conflict of interest
- managing unreasonable conduct by a complaint party (MUCC).

Support decision making and judgement
- Guide decision making around commencing an investigation or undertaking preliminary enquiries to inform best way forward
- Engage with SIA's Law Enforcement Partnership Program (LEPP) for advice when matters should be referred to law enforcement or another relevant organisation




- Guide sport on responding appropriately to a complaint when it does not warrant formal management under a relevant policy

Risk assessment activities
- Engage with Safeguarding to support sport to assess the potential risk to members of sport where allegations involve access to or contact with children or vulnerable people
- Identify procedural risks that could negatively affect Sport or any complaint party
- Provide appropriate information to sport and support them in undertaking risk assessment and interim risk management measures
- Support the NIM to implement proportional risk mitigation activities such as Provisional Action

Improvement initiatives
- Lead the development and delivery of complaint management education initiatives for the sector
- Assist with the development of complaint handling templates and resources
- Identify complaint themes and sharing observations with the sport and within SIA
- Input into the integrity workforce capability[AC2.1] uplift strategy being developed by Sport Partnerships

What we are looking for (selection criteria):

- Demonstrated experience and understanding of the National Integrity Framework including complaint management and advice.
- Organisation and time management - ability to manage competing priorities and adhere to strict deadlines to achieve results in a high-pressure environment.
- Demonstrated solid analytical and problem-solving skills.



Experience in analysing complex information and developing plans to achieve desired and timely outcomes.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement, interpersonal and presentation skills, including the ability to deliver education sessions to a diverse group of stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to quickly establish credibility and rapport when working with new organisations, including the judgement, confidence and emotional intelligence to engage effectively in sensitive, complex or high-pressure environments.

Desirable:
- Tertiary qualification/s or demonstrated relevant experience, including a Cert 4 in Government Investigations.
