About the role
Connected Insurance is looking for an experienced Insurance Broker / Account Manager to join our team in a permanent work-from-home position.
This is an opportunity for an experienced insurance professional who is comfortable managing their own portfolio of small to medium business clients, while also providing support to our Senior Broker in the management of larger and more complex clients.
The position can be 30 to 35 hours per week, depending on the successful applicant's preference and experience.
You can be based anywhere in Australia, provided you have a suitable home office and can work reliably during agreed business hours.
About the position
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a portfolio of small to medium business clients, providing a high level of service and ensuring their insurance requirements are handled efficiently and professionally.
You will also work closely with our Senior Broker, assisting with the servicing and administration of larger commercial clients.
Key responsibilities will include:
Managing a portfolio of small to medium business insurance clients
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients
Handling day-to-day client enquiries and insurance requirements
Processing policy endorsements and adjustments
Managing policy renewals from preparation through to completion
Obtaining and processing new business
Liaising with insurers, underwriters and other insurance providers
Assisting with the management and placement of larger and more complex accounts
Assisting the Senior Broker with larger client portfolios
Lodging,
monitoring and managing insurance claims
Following up outstanding matters with insurers and clientsto
Maintaining accurate client and policy records
Ensuring documentation and compliance requirements are completed accurately and on time
Providing general broking support as required
About you
We are looking for someone who is an experienced insurance professional and can work independently while also being a strong team member.
Ideally, you will have:
Tier 1 or Diploma of Insurance Broking qualification
Previous experience working in a general insurance broking environment
Experience managing a portfolio of commercial clients
A good understanding of commercial insurance products and policy wordings
Experience handling renewals, endorsements and new business
Experience managing insurance claims
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to work independently from home
A skilled and client-focused approach
Good computer skills and the ability to learn and use insurance systems efficiently
Systems experience
Experience with the following systems would be highly regarded:
Insight
SCTP
Sunrise
Experience with all three systems is not essential, but familiarity with these platforms would be an advantage.
