The OpportunityWe are seeking a hands-on and reliable Plasterer/ Painter to join our growing team based out of our Caboolture office.Working alongside our experienced Maintenance Manager and broader maintenance team, you will support the upkeep and presentation of more than 26 residential care and SIL properties across Brisbane, Moreton Bay and the Sunshine Coast.This role is ideal for an experienced tradesperson who enjoys diverse work, takes pride in high standards and is comfortable working across a broad range of maintenance and handyman tasks beyond their core trade.
This role is also open to less experienced candidates that are willing to learn and gain experience.This is a full-time role and operates on a 9-day fortnight, with an RDO every second Friday.The Plasterer/Painter Will:Complete plastering, patching, painting and property presentation worksCarry out general property maintenance and handyman tasks across residential homes and officesUndertake minor repairs including basic carpentry, hardware replacements and maintenance tasksIdentify and elevate maintenance, safety and compliance concerns proactivelyCoordinate materials and assist with job planning and completionLiaise professionally with staff, contractors and managementMaintain safe, clean and compliant work practices across all sitesTravel between multiple sites throughout South East Queensland as requiredStrong plastering and painting experiencepreferable with a trade's qualificationDemonstrated ability to work beyond your primary trade across a broad range of maintenance and handyman tasksExperience in general maintenance,
property maintenance or handyman-style rolesAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and manage competing prioritiesStrong problem-solving skills and practical decision-making abilityExcellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skillsHigh work standards and strong attention to detailGood time management and organisational skillsReasonable level of physical fitnessExperience working across multiple sites or properties is highly regardedExperience within residential, community housing, disability or care environments is highly regardedCommitment to training and continuous development with a desire to Thrive!
