We're looking for motivated and reliable Groundskeepers to join our Parks & Sportsgrounds team.
This hands‐on role contributes to the maintenance and presentation of Council's parks, reserves, sporting fields and open spaces.Working as part of a small team, you'll undertake a variety of outdoor maintenance activities while helping deliver quality facilities that are enjoyed by the Ryde community every day.About YouYou are someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in a job well done.
You are reliable, safety‐focused and able to work effectively as part of a team.Whether your experience comes from grounds maintenance, landscaping, labouring, horticulture, sports field maintenance or another outdoor role, you'll bring a solid work ethic, reliability and a willingness to contribute to the team.Why Join Us?
This is an opportunity to build a long‐term career with a progressive local government organisation while working outdoors across some of Ryde's most valued community spaces.What You'll Be DoingMaintaining parks, sportsgrounds and open spacesOperating and caring for grounds maintenance equipmentAssisting with mowing, trimming and general grounds maintenance activitiesUndertaking labouring and maintenance tasks as requiredHelping keep Council's parks and sporting facilities clean, safe and well presentedWorking collaboratively with team members to deliver quality services to the communityIn Addition, You Will HaveExperience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, labouring, horticulture or a similar outdoor role is highly regardedExperience operating grounds maintenance equipmentThe ability to undertake physically demanding outdoor workStrong communication and teamwork skillsA current Class C Driver LicenceExperience maintaining sports fields or recreational facilitiesCertificate III in Greenkeeping, Horticulture or a related disciplineLocal Government experienceBring your practical experience, strong work ethic and passion for outdoor work to help maintain some of Ryde's most important community assets.Your commencing annual salary will range from $61,****** to $70,****** per annum + 12.5% superannuation.
