Quarry Maintenance Fitters / Mechanical Fitters - Night ShiftArceye Engineering is seeking an experienced Quarry Maintenance Fitter, Mechanical Fitter to join our client's Maintenance Team at Point Wilson, VIC.The successful applicant will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, installation and overhaul of fixed and mobile plant within a busy quarry workplace.The Quarry Maintenance Department operates as one integrated Maintenance Team, and all employees are expected to assist across a range of maintenance activities within the limits of their qualifications, licences, training and demonstrated competency.Mechanical Fitters with fabrication and welding experience are encouraged to apply.About the Role:Preventative, planned and reactive maintenance on fixed and mobile plantBreakdown response and fault findingMaintenance and repairs of crushers, including jaw and cone crushersMaintenance of vibrating screens and screen mediaConveyor and conveyor system maintenanceChanging conveyor rollers, idlers and belt componentsBearing inspection, replacement and alignmentConveyor pulley and drum maintenanceGearbox removal, overhaul and replacementElectric motor removal, installation and replacementShaft, coupling and drive system maintenanceHydraulic and pneumatic system maintenanceChute,



bin and hopper repairsWear liner and chute liner replacementStructural steel repairs and plant modificationsWelding, fabrication and general plant repairsFeeder and transfer station maintenanceGeneral plant inspections and housekeepingShutdown and major maintenance activitiesCleaning of plant, chutes, workshops and maintenance areasManual handling and lifting tasks as requiredReporting hazards and maintenance issuesFollowing SWMS, permits and site safety proceduresAbout the Person:Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter / Fitter & Turner or equivalentPrevious quarry, mining, heavy industrial or fixed plant maintenance experience highly regardedStrong mechanical maintenance skillsWelding and fabrication experience advantageousExperience with conveyors, crushers and vibrating screens highly regardedAbility to undertake preventative and reactive maintenanceStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skillsHigh safety focusHard working, reliable and trustworthyAble to work independently and as part of a teamPhysically capable of working in a demanding quarry environmentWilling to assist across a range of maintenance activitiesThe Role:4 ON / 4 OFF rotating night shift roster 7.30pm to 5:00am9-hour shifts - $48 – $56 p/h + superPPE supplied
