Practice Nurse and Clinical Support Assistant – Part-TimeThis is a varied role combining hands-on nursing with clinical support for our doctors and psychologists.
Working alongside our admin practice manager, you'll take the lead on the clinical side of running the practice.
You'll act as a clinical support assistant to the team, keeping their workload organised and running smoothly, while serving as a key point of contact for patients before and after their procedures.
Our patients have access to procedures both in our consulting rooms and at St George Private Hospital, including nerve blocks, injections, radiofrequency therapies and spinal cord stimulators.Key responsibilitiesClinical support: acting as a clinical support assistant to our doctors and psychologists, helping manage their inboxes, referrals, correspondence and follow-ups so they can focus on patient carePatient communication: handling patient phone calls, welfare checks, and questions about medications and procedures, including helping patients understand what to expectProcedure preparation: providing clear fasting and pre-procedure instructionsClinical records: recording patient medications and medical history accuratelyPost-procedure care: monitoring patients after procedures and handing over resultsCare coordination: liaising with referring doctors and nursesRegulatory follow-up:
monitoring and following up on TGA applicationsAbout youCurrent AHPRA registration as a Registered NurseAt least 3 years' experience as a Registered Nurse; experience in a specialist practice or procedural setting is a bonusGood knowledge of pain medications and the regulations around them (desirable)Confident with practice management software such as Xestro, or able to learn quicklyCurrent CPR certificationA current NSW Working with Children Check, and happy to complete the usual pre-employment checks, including a National Police Check and skilled referencesCalm, empathetic and an excellent communicator, particularly with patients living with chronic painHighly organised, with the ability to manage a busy inbox and multiple follow-upsEnjoys working in a supporting role and is proactive about anticipating what the team needsInterested in developing your skills in clinical practice management and leadershipPart-time position across Monday to Friday during office hours, with some flexibility and capacity to work from homeAbove-award salary package, commensurate with skills and experienceThe opportunity to grow into a clinical practice management role within a supportive specialist teamA close-knit multidisciplinary team, including our therapy dog, BenjiSupport with professional developmentEasy access by public transport, with parking nearbyAbout usMegumi Health is a specialist medical practice focused on Pain Medicine.
