Malaysia 26K3 international branch campuses in AustraliaOVERVIEW The Student Services Advisor supports the delivery of student and academic administration services for students at Charles Sturt University Sydney and Melbourne campuses operated by Navitas.
This role focuses on ensuring efficient, effective, and compliant administration processes throughout the student lifecycle while maintaining alignment with Charles Sturt University policies, procedures, and government regulations.
The position also works closely with internal stakeholders across Navitas and the University to support a positive student experience, particularly for international students.Key responsibilitiesCoordinate and deliver student administration services across the student lifecycle in accordance with relevant government policies and procedures between campusesProvide guidance, assistance, and accurate advice to the Student and Academic Services team and other stakeholders regarding student enrolments, requests, and timetablingManage changes to student enrolments, including deferrals, reduction of study load, withdrawals, and release to another providerManage the issuing and reporting process of Notice of Intention to report for non-enrolments, non-payments, and non-engagement for international students, including processing and reviewing outcomesReview, process, and respond to complex student enquiries in collaboration with stakeholders across Charles Sturt University and Navitas teamsMaintain knowledge of ESOS, National Code, CSU policies, procedures,
and regulations to provide accurate advice to students and staffEnsure compliance with agreements between Charles Sturt University and Navitas, with a focus on student-related policies and proceduresContribute to the management of key relationships with administration staff and other functional areas across Navitas, the campus, and the UniversityRequirementsCompletion of secondary qualifications and relevant work experienceExperience in student administration or student services within the tertiary or higher education sectorEmpathy for and experience working with international studentsDemonstrated initiative and problem-solving skillsStrong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skillsAbility to build and maintain effective business relationships and professional networksExcellent attention to detailSound knowledge of equal chance, equity, and workplace health and safety principlesAbility to implement workplace health and safety and equity principles at strategic and/or operational levelsKnowledge of ESOS, the National Code, and higher education compliance frameworks WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Student services professionals play an important role in helping students successfully navigate their academic journey, particularly in international education environments where compliance, communication, and student support are closely connected.
This role contributes to maintaining high standards of student administration while supporting a student-centred learning environment across multiple campuses.
The position also supports collaboration between Navitas and Charles Sturt University, helping ensure students receive accurate advice, timely administrative support, and consistent service delivery throughout their studies.
