Part-time, ongoing position available - 32 hours per fortnight.
Up to $60,****** (HS1) - $67,****** (HS17) base salary per annum - full-time equivalent pro-rated for part-time.
Parkville location, with multiple public transport options available.
Position Summary
As a member of the patient information clerical team you will assist with the maintenance and provision of patient records for patient care, research and education.
This position will contribute to the accurate sorting, checking, filing, compiling and scanning of patient related forms.
The position will also include processing requests for patient information, answering telephone calls, record culling, quality audits and other HIS activities as directed.
Carry out tasks as part of a team that works co-operatively, sharing roles and responsibilities to meet the needs of the hospital.

Key Accountabilities
1. Provision of patient records for patient care, research and education in line with policies and procedures, meeting timelines and KPIs.
All patient records retrieved in time for patientandrsquos attendanceAll patient records accurately filed within specified time frameAll loose forms, reports and correspondence filed into correct patient record within specified time frameAdapt and assist the implementation of workflow process changes requested by managementSuccessfully meet departmental KPIandrsquosAccurately report departmental KPIandrsquos to management on requestAccept and make appropriate practice changes based on Manager feedbackAssist department with other tasks as required
2. Patient data and medical record maintenance
Apply policies and procedures in all aspects of workManage Patient Records in accordance with standardsPerform role in line with confidentiality and privacy requirementsParticipate in Quality ActivitiesParticipate in staff education to ensure quality of data entry is maintained and correct procedures are followedScanning of patient documentationCreation of patient recordsEnter and maintain accurate data within iPM
3. Provision of effective administrative support
Undertake all duties in line with policies and procedures within the required timeframe to meet KPIsPerform role in line with confidentiality and privacy requirementsParticipate in training and development that is offered during business hours and daysWork cooperatively as part of the team and assist other areas and staff as necessaryOffer opinions and suggestions to improve work areasMaintain knowledge and skill base required for effective performance and identify learning needsSupport and train new employees when requiredParticipate fully in the performance appraisal processOther tasks as directed by your Team Leader or ManagerWork cooperatively within multi-disciplinary teams to improve workflow in consultation with management

Remuneration as per Health and Allied services, Managers and Administrative workers EBA.
Up to Up to $60,****** (HS1) - $67,****** (HS17) base salary per annum, (full-time equivalent - to be prorated for Part Time) dependent on candidate experience.To be discussed with Hiring Manager.
