Southport Autohaus is seeking a fully qualified Automotive Technician to join our team in Southport, QLD.
This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to work with premium European vehicles, mainly on BMW, Mercedes Benz, Audi and Volkswagen.
As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring our customers receive exceptional service.Key responsibilitiesDiagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and technical knowledgePerform routine maintenance services including oil changes, fluid top-ups, filter replacements, and inspectionsRepair and replace brakes, suspension and engine componentsConduct pre-purchase and mechanical inspectionsMaintain accurate and detailed service records and documentation for each vehicle attended toClutch repairsAir conditioning diagnosis and repairsTiming belt and timing chain replacementKeep workshop tools,
equipment, and work areas clean and organisedWhat we're looking forThe ideal candidate will have certificate 111 in Light Vehicle Mechanical TechnologyMinimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience as an Automotive Technician in a workshop environmentStrong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with diagnostic tools and workshop equipmentExperience with European vehicles is highly desirable (but not essential)Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailBe reliable and punctualAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamAbout usSouthport Autohaus is a family business operating out of Southport since ****, well known for our service and quality of work.
