Content & Communications Executive
- Sydney CBD
- Hybrid - 4 days per week onsite
- $90,000–$100,000 super
This is a content-led communications role for someone who knows how to find a good story.
This is an opportunity for a strong writer and B2B marketer to join a growing professional services team within a major global organisation.
The business is continuing to evolve, with a focus on building greater awareness of its specialist services, expertise and people across the Australian market. This newly created role will play an important part in that growth, with a particular focus on content, thought leadership and stakeholder engagement.
You’ll work closely with subject matter experts across the business, getting to understand their areas of expertise and turning their knowledge, projects and industry insights into clear, engaging content.
There is plenty of scope to bring your own ideas to the role and help shape how the team communicates with the market.
The role
Content is at the heart of this position, but it’s not simply a writing role. A big part of your success will come from building robust relationships across the business and identifying the stories and ideas that are worth sharing.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Developing and managing a national content calendar
- Creating thought leadership articles, LinkedIn content, case studies and project stories
- Interviewing subject matter experts and turning complex information into clear, engaging content
- Developing profiles and content that build the visibility of key people across the business
- Creating website content, newsletters and internal communications
- Identifying relevant industry trends, news and topics that provide opportunities for commentary
- Supporting content and communications around industry events
- Working with senior stakeholders to identify and develop new content opportunities
- Collaborating with wider marketing, digital, PR and creative teams to maximise the reach of your content
- Ensuring content is consistent, well written and relevant to professional audiences
You’ll be working with people at all levels across the business, so strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships will be just as important as your writing ability.
You’ll need to be comfortable approaching senior stakeholders, asking the right questions and finding the information you need to develop a strong story.
About you
We’re looking for someone with around 3–5 years’ experience in content, B2B marketing, communications, corporate affairs, professional services or a related environment.
You’ll bring
- Excellent written communication and editorial skills
- The ability to turn complex information into clear and engaging content
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- A curious and proactive approach to finding content opportunities
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- An understanding of how content can be used to build reputation, credibility and profile
- A genuine interest in understanding a business and the people behind it
Experience in professional services, consulting, corporate communications, technical B2B marketing or another complex services environment would be highly relevant.
Why this role?
This is a newly created position, so you’ll have the opportunity to help shape the content function rather than simply stepping into an established process.
You’ll work as part of a small, collaborative team, while having access to the broader marketing, digital, PR and creative resources of a large global organisation.
The role also has a genuinely broad remit. You’ll be working across different areas of the business, speaking with a range of subject matter experts and developing content for multiple channels and audiences.
For someone who enjoys combining writing, relationship building, research and strategic thinking, there is plenty of scope to make the role your own.
