Please indicate your preferred position and availability when applying. About The Cook Position As a Cook, you will work alongside the Kitchen Team Leader and broader hospitality team to provide nutritious, flavoursome and thoughtfully prepared meals for our residents.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

- Preparing and presenting meals in accordance with approved menus and standard recipes
- Ensuring meals meet portion, nutritional, texture and temperature requirements
- Preparing texture-modified meals in accordance with the IDDSI Framework
- Accommodating residents’ dietary requirements, allergies, preferences and cultural needs
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- Supporting stock control, ordering and stock rotation
- Assisting with catering for functions, celebrations and special events
- Completing required food safety and compliance documentation
- Contributing to audits, accreditation and continuous improvement activities
- Providing guidance and practical support to other hospitality team members when required

What You Will Bring to the Cook Position To Undertake Cook Duties, You Will Bring:

- A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent qualification
- Experience preparing and producing meals in a commercial kitchen
- Knowledge of food allergies, special diets and texture-modified meals
- An understanding of the IDDSI Framework
- Strong time-management and organisational skills
- Experience with stock control, food ordering and menu preparation
- A commitment to food safety,



quality and resident choice
- The ability to work effectively as part of a busy and supportive team

Experience in aged care, health or community services and a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate will be highly regarded. About The Kitchen Assistant Position As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the Cook and Kitchen Team Leader to provide a safe, efficient and high-quality catering service.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

- Assisting with the preparation of meals, snacks and beverages
- Supporting breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner services
- Preparing crockery, cutlery and dining equipment
- Assisting with meal plating and dining service
- Labelling and storing food correctly
- Maintaining appropriate stock rotation
- Operating commercial and domestic dishwashers
- Cleaning and sanitising kitchen utensils, equipment and work areas
- Completing food safety, temperature and cleaning records
- Assisting with deliveries and putting stock away
- Supporting residents’ dietary requirements, allergies and preferences
- Contributing to a positive and enjoyable dining experience for residents

What You Will Bring to the Kitchen Assistant Position To Succeed As a Kitchen Assistant, You Will Bring:

Essential Requirements Depending on the position, the successful applicant will be required to:

- Hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent to undertake Cook duties
- Hold or obtain a current National Police Certificate that meets applicable aged care requirements
- Provide evidence of their right to work in Australia
- Complete a pre-employment medical assessment
- Complete and maintain mandatory training relevant to the position
- Meet Sundale’s food safety, infection control and workplace health and safety requirements
