Contemporary Catering is looking for a passionate and reliable Cook to join our kitchen team at our Rooty Hill location.
We are looking for someone who enjoys preparing fresh, quality meals and takes pride in delivering food to a high standard.
Spanish-speaking ability and experience with South American or Spanish cuisine would be highly regarded, but is not essential.
About the role
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing and cooking meals in line with menus and required standards
- Assisting with daily kitchen operations and meal service
- Following food safety, hygiene and quality procedures
- Ensuring meals are prepared and presented to a high standard
- Following IDDSI requirements where applicable
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen
- Working closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
- Assisting with general kitchen duties as required
About you To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience working as a Cook in a commercial kitchen
- Good knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
- A strong understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- A reliable and positive approach to work
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Spanish-speaking ability would be an advantage but is not essential
- Experience with South American or Spanish cuisine would be highly regarded
