Hours: Minimum 38 hours per week

Salary: $80K -85K + superannuation

Key Duties The successful applicant will be responsible for:

- Preparing, cooking and presenting meals according to established recipes and standards.
- Preparing ingredients, including washing, cutting, portioning and seasoning food.
- Operating grills, ovens, stovetops and other commercial kitchen equipment.
- Monitoring food quality, taste, presentation and portion sizes.
- Maintaining appropriate stock levels and assisting with food ordering and storage.
- Checking the quality and freshness of ingredients.
- Ensuring food is stored safely and in accordance with food safety requirements.
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Following workplace health, safety and food-handling procedures.
- Assisting with menu preparation and daily kitchen operations.




- Working effectively with chefs, kitchen staff and front-of-house employees.
- Managing food preparation during busy service periods.
- Minimising food waste and assisting with stock rotation.

Skills and Experience

Applicants should have

- Relevant commercial cookery qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
- Previous experience working as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.
- Strong food preparation and cooking skills.
- Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays where required.
- A reliable, skilled and positive approach to work.
