Corporate Aircraft Charter is a premier aviation charter operator dedicated to delivering safe, reliable, and premium air transport services across Australia. Operating a King Air B200 and Cessna Citation fleet under CASA Part 119/135 frameworks. We specialize in corporate, fly-in fly-out (FIFO), and ad hoc charter operations. We are looking for an experienced Aviation Quality & Safety Manager to champion our safety culture and lead our compliance framework.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer / Accountable Manager, you will serve as the key regulatory conduit and key personnel under our Air Operator's Certificate (AOC). You will manage, evolve, and maintain our Safety Management System (SMS) and Quality Assurance (QA) program to ensure our charter operations strictly comply with Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) requirements and industry best practices.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison with CASA, managing compliance across CASR Parts 91, 119, 135, and relevant airworthiness standards
- Oversee the proactive reporting system, hazard identification, and risk assessment registries tailored to dynamic charter environments
- Design, schedule, and execute internal and external quality compliance audits,
ensuring prompt close-out of Corrective Action Requests (CARs)
- Lead thorough investigations into operational incidents, implementing robust preventative measures
- Promote an active, non-punitive "Just Culture" and deliver safety/quality induction training to flight crew, ground crew, and operations staff
- Maintain, review, and update the company's Operations Manuals, Safety Management Manuals, and compliance documentation
About you
- Proven experience in a safety or quality management role within an aviation workplace, with explicit exposure to charter or Regular Public Transport (RPT) operations
- Deep working knowledge of current Australian aviation legislation, including CASR Parts 119, 135, and 91
- Formal training in Aviation Safety Management Systems (SMS) and a certified Lead Auditor qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to confidently liaise with regulatory bodies, flight crew, and executive leadership
- Flight/Maintenance Experience (Desirable): A background as a commercial pilot (CPL/ATPL) or Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) is highly regarded but not mandatory
