About us
Precision Steel Frames is a South Australian business specialising in the manufacture and supply of precision-engineered steel wall frames, roof trusses and associated components for residential construction projects.
We are seeking an experienced, hands‑on Warehouse and Logistics Manager to oversee our warehouse operations, stock control, team performance and dispatch coordination. This is an important leadership role requiring strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to ensure materials are prepared accurately and dispatched on schedule.
About the role
This is a practical leadership position suited to someone who is highly organised, takes ownership of their work and understands the importance of ensuring materials are prepared accurately and delivered to construction sites on schedule.
You will coordinate closely with our production, scheduling, construction and delivery teams to ensure steel frames and associated materials are safely stored, correctly allocated and dispatched in accordance with project requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the warehouse and storage areas
- Coordinate the receipt, identification, storage and dispatch of materials
- Prepare steel‑frame packages and associated components for delivery
- Check outgoing orders against plans, schedules and delivery documentation
- Coordinate delivery schedules with production staff, supervisors and drivers
- Ensure all components are correctly labelled, bundled and allocated to the appropriate project
- Monitor stock levels and arrange replenishment of materials and consumables
- Maintain accurate stock, delivery and dispatch records
- Supervise and support warehouse employees and allocate daily duties
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks when required
- Ensure the warehouse and external storage areas remain clean, safe and organised
- Maintain safe work practices and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements
- Identify operational issues and implement practical improvements
- Report shortages, damaged materials or production discrepancies promptly
- Assist with general warehouse and operational duties as required
About you
- Previous experience managing or supervising a warehouse, manufacturing facility or construction‑materials yard
- Solid organisational, planning and time‑management skills
- Experience coordinating stock, deliveries and dispatch
- The ability to read schedules, delivery lists and basic construction documentation
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- A practical, hands‑on approach and willingness to assist the team
- The ability to lead employees and communicate clearly with different departments
- A strong understanding of warehouse safety requirements
- Good computer skills and experience maintaining inventory or dispatch records
- The ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and manage competing priorities
Highly regarded
- Experience in steel‑frame manufacturing, roll‑forming or light‑gauge steel
- Experience within the construction, building‑products or manufacturing industries
- Experience coordinating trucks, deliveries or construction‑site logistics
- Knowledge of steel‑frame components, wall frames and roof trusses
