Our client is an established, owner-involved family business near Mungindi. Its integrated operation combines a substantial dryland grain and pulse program with modern machinery, practical systems and support from contractors and specialist service providers.
About the role
Oversee day-to-day delivery of a 25,000-acre dryland cropping program across six farms near Mungindi. Coordinate people, contractors, machinery and inputs from planting through harvest, with ownership support and increasing responsibility as capability and trust develop.
- Coordinate planting, spraying, in-crop management and harvest programs.
- Supervise staff, seasonal labour, contractors and machinery movements.
- Manage machinery readiness, routine maintenance and minor repairs.
- Liaise with agronomists and organise seed, fuel and chemical inputs.
- Monitor grain handling, on-farm storage and operational records.
Skills & experience
- Extensive broadacre dryland cropping experience.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and minor repair skills.
- Proven people and seasonal work coordination.
- Sound spraying and precision farming knowledge; chemical ticket desirable.
- Competent computer, data and farm record skills.
