Townsville Field Technician role with excellent benefits

Your new company An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Customer Field Technician to perform skilled telecommunications work across customer premises and access network environments.

Working with established procedures and technical frameworks, you will be responsible for delivering quality field outcomes, maintaining service continuity and providing a positive customer experience.

Your key responsibilities

- Complete skilled telecommunications installation, maintenance and repair activities

- Diagnose and rectify basic to intermediate equipment and network faults

- Assist with testing and commissioning telecommunications network equipment

- Complete equipment and software upgrades

- Provide technical advice and resolve customer premises equipment faults

- Apply technical judgement when completing assigned field work

- Contribute to project briefs for larger telecommunications activities

- Ensure all work meets required quality, regulatory and industry standards

What you'll need

- Previous experience in a telecommunications technical or field-based role





- Certificate II in Telecommunications (Access Network), Certificate III in Telecommunications Cabling and Customer Premises Equipment, or an equivalent qualification is highly regarded

- Experience working across customer premises and network environments

- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

- Ability to follow established technical procedures

- Confidence working autonomously and taking responsibility for work quality

- Good customer service and communication skills
