Disability & Child Safety Support WorkerSupport people with disability and Child Safety needs across Toowoomba Flexible shifts paid induction and ongoing support.Disability & Child Safety Support Workers | ToowoombaMake a Meaningful Difference Every DayDirect Care Resources is seeking compassionate, dependable and experienced Support Workers across the Logan and Ipswich regions.You will support people accessing Disability Services and Child Safety services to feel safe, maintain everyday routines, build independence, participate in their communities and work towards goals that are meaningful to them.At DCR, you are more than a name on a roster.
We take the time to understand our participants, build consistent support teams and provide our workers with ongoing guidance from experienced leaders.If you value trust, consistency and person-centred support, we would love to hear from you.About Direct Care ResourcesFor more than 28 years, Direct Care Resources has supported people with complex care needs across South East Queensland.We provide Supported Independent Living, disability support and Child Safety services, with a strong focus on safety, service quality and meaningful relationships.As a Support Worker, you may support people living with physical, intellectual or psychosocial disability, as well as children and young people in out-of-home care.LocationsOpportunities are available across ToowoombaTravel across the region may be required depending on participant needs and available shifts.What You'll DoSupport everyday living activities, including personal care, household tasks,



meal preparation and healthy routinesAssist people to attend school, appointments, recreational activities and community outingsBuild trusted and respectful relationships while maintaining professional boundariesApply person-centred and trauma-informed approaches to support emotional wellbeingRespond appropriately to individual behavioural and complex support needsAdminister medication in accordance with policies, procedures and individual support plansComplete shift notes, handovers and incident reports accurately and professionallyWork collaboratively with colleagues, families and other stakeholders to provide consistent supportAbout YouYou understand that quality support is built through patience, consistency and respect.You can remain calm under pressure, communicate confidently and adapt your approach to meet individual needs.
You are comfortable working independently while staying connected with your broader team.You will also:Bring a genuine commitment to participant safety, choice and wellbeingBe adaptable across different participants and support environmentsHave solid written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrate reliability, sound judgement and professional boundariesBe available for a range of shifts, including weekends,



sleepovers, overnight shifts and varied roster patternsQualifications and Essential RequirementsTo be considered, you must hold, be completing or be enrolled in a minimum Certificate IV qualification in:Community ServicesDisabilityYouth WorkMental HealthA closely related fieldYou will also require:A current Queensland Open or P2 Driver LicenceA reliable vehicle with current registration and comprehensive insuranceEvidence of eligibility to work in AustraliaCurrent First Aid and CPR certificationA valid Blue CardA valid NDIS Worker Screening ClearanceCompletion of the NDIS Worker Orientation ModuleChild Safety Division LCS2 ClearanceWhy Join DCR?
