We're currently looking for a Hands-On Data Architect to join an organisation going through a significant period of change across its data environment. This role will suit someone who has strong architecture experience but is still comfortable being hands-on. You’ll play a key role in shaping the data strategy and overall architecture, while also getting involved across data modelling, ETL/ELT pipeline development and Power BI.

Responsibilities:

- Help define and deliver the overall data strategy and architecture roadmap
- Design logical and physical data models across the data environment
- Get hands-on with the development of ETL/ELT pipelines and data integrations
- Design scalable data warehouse and data platform solutions
- Work across Power BI, semantic modelling and reporting architecture
- Ensure data models are designed effectively for reporting and analytics requirements
- Establish best practices across data architecture, security, governance and integration

Skills Required:

- Strong experience working as a Data Architect within complex data environments
- Strong hands-on experience across data modelling, including dimensional and enterprise modelling




- Experience designing and developing ETL/ELT pipelines
- Strong experience with Power BI and semantic models
- Positive understanding of modern data warehouse and data platform architecture
- Ability to move between high-level architecture and hands-on technical delivery
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Experience setting standards and best practices across data architecture and engineering

We’re looking for someone who can look at the bigger picture from an architecture perspective but also isn’t afraid to get into the detail and build.
