About the Role

With a strong pipeline of major infrastructure projects across transport, water and renewable energy, we're seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our growing NSW team. Working alongside our Design Manager and delivery team, you'll play a key role in managing the interface between design and construction, ensuring innovative, cost-effective and buildable solutions are delivered across complex Design & Construct projects. This is an opportunity to influence project outcomes from planning through to delivery while contributing to some of the state's most significant infrastructure projects.

You will

- Coordinating and managing design delivery from external consultants and multidisciplinary design teams
- Supporting project teams throughout project development, tendering and delivery phases
- Driving collaboration between construction teams, clients, designers and key stakeholders
- Identifying and managing design risks, opportunities and value engineering initiatives
- Managing RFIs, technical queries, design changes and variation processes
- Facilitating design workshops, coordination meetings and stakeholder engagement activities




- Providing technical input into constructability reviews, methodologies and project planning
- Supporting tenders, bids and project pursuits across the NSW business
- Contributing to continuous improvement and design management best practice initiatives

About the Role You bring experience delivering major civil infrastructure projects within Australia and have a passion for finding practical engineering solutions that support successful project outcomes. You'll ideally have experience across one or more of the following sectors:

- Transport infrastructure projects for Transport for NSW
- Water infrastructure projects for Sydney Water
- Renewable energy or wind farm developments

You will also possess:
- A degree qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience working within Design & Construct project environments
- Solid capability managing design consultants and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship-building skills
- Well-developed commercial acumen and risk management capability
- The ability to drive innovation and continuously improve project outcomes
- Experience working on complex infrastructure projects within fast-paced delivery environments
