Breakthrough T1D QLD is looking for a proactive, relationship-driven Development Coordinator to join our passionate fundraising team on a part-time basis (0.4 FTE – 15 hours per week across 2–3 days) and help grow fundraising and engagement across a portfolio of exciting events and campaigns.

About the Role
Reporting to the Development Manager QLD, you'll collaborate with the QLD team to grow fundraising income and community engagement across 15 hours per week. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Recruiting and coordinating community fundraisers, donors and volunteers across Breakthrough T1D's portfolio of events and campaigns
- Engaging and mobilising key stakeholders to leverage personal and professional networks to raise funds
- Connecting with newly diagnosed families to build lasting relationships and future opportunities
- Planning and delivering Breakthrough T1D signature fundraising events
- Sourcing and securing donations and sponsorships for raffle and auction prizes
- Optimising local and regional opportunities to translate supporters' passion into revenue and awareness
- Using Salesforce to manage data and deliver excellence in supporter experience
- Working collaboratively with the national fundraising team to sustain and grow relationships, events and campaigns
About You
You are a genuine people person with a passion for making a difference. You'll bring:
- A genuine enjoyment of building positive, meaningful relationships
- Excellent communication skills – clear, confident and empathetic
- Robust organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
- A data-driven mindset with an innovative approach to identifying revenue opportunities
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to connect authentically with all types of people
- Strong database skills, preferably Salesforce
- Professionalism, discretion and reliability in all aspects of your work
- Curiosity and genuine interest in understanding the impact of living with type 1 diabetes
- Effective time management with enthusiasm, persistence and tenacity
Experience in fundraising and events will be highly regarded but is not essential – we value the right attitude and genuine passion above all else!
