Due to continued growth, an opportunity exists for a qualified Diesel Mechanic to join a well-established workshop team. Your New Role
As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy vehicles and trucks to ensure reliability, safety and operational performance.
Your duties will include
Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on heavy vehicles and trucks
Conducting routine servicing and preventative maintenance
Completing inspections and identifying mechanical issues
Repairing and replacing mechanical components as required
Maintaining service records and workshop documentation
Working closely with supervisors and workshop personnel
Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
Contributing to the efficient operation of the workshop
What You'll Need to Succeed To be successful in this role, you will have:
Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic
Experience servicing and repairing trucks and heavy vehicles
Solid diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
Ability to work effectively under supervision
Strong commitment to workplace safety
Reliable and professional approach to work
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Desirable
HR Driver's Licence
Experience working on fleet vehicles
Exposure to waste management, transport or logistics fleets
