Serin Towing & Recovery pty ltd Key Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical and operational faults in diesel engines and related systems of trucks, tow trucks, recovery vehicles and other heavy commercial vehicles using appropriate testing and diagnostic procedures. Dismantle and remove diesel engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, suspension components and other heavy-vehicle mechanical systems to inspect parts for wear, damage and defects. Repair, overhaul and replace worn or defective diesel engine components and heavy-vehicle mechanical parts , and reassemble systems according to manufacturer specifications and technical service manuals.

Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on diesel-powered heavy vehicles, including oil and filter changes, lubrication, fluid servicing, engine adjustments and tune-ups to maintain efficient operation and applicable emission requirements. Reassemble diesel engines, transmissions and associated heavy-vehicle mechanical components following repairs or component replacement, ensuring correct installation and adjustment. Test and adjust repaired diesel engines, transmissions, suspension, steering and braking systems to verify correct performance, reliability and protected operation.

Use computerised diagnostic equipment, electronic scan tools and testing systems to identify faults in diesel engine-management systems and associated heavy-vehicle components.



Inspect diesel-powered trucks and heavy commercial vehicles to identify mechanical defects affecting safe operation and determine the repairs or maintenance required to achieve appropriate roadworthiness standards. Maintain, test and repair the diesel motors and mechanical systems of Serin’s heavy-vehicle fleet, with particular responsibility for transmissions, suspension, steering and braking components.

Conduct final operational checks and road testing of repaired diesel-powered heavy vehicles, where appropriate, to verify engine performance and the correct operation of associated mechanical systems.
