An exciting opportunity exists for Dietitians to join our district's short term staff pool. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the provision of high quality, evidence-based Nutrition and Dietetics Services to inpatients, outpatients, and staff of the NBMLHD.
Key to your success is utilising high level clinical expertise and knowledge in general clinical Dietetics in evaluating and developing the Dietetic services to inpatients and outpatients and other clients/staff to ensure regular and ongoing quality improvement activities. Dietitians attend relevant clinical and department meetings (ward rounds, case conferences, lectures, professional development sessions, staff meetings) and design and implement nutritional counselling/education programs for patients and staff as required.

What you will bring to the role
1. Tertiary qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics and eligible for full membership of the Dietitians Australia, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
2. Recent and relevant clinical experience as a dietitian in a hospital setting
3. Demonstrated ability to exercise independent professional judgement on routine matters commensurate with years of experience
4. Demonstrated high level written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to work successfully and confidently as part of a multidisciplinary team
5.
Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills to manage a fast-paced and high-volume workload
6. Demonstrated commitment to professional development, application of evidence-based practice, and involvement in quality improvement.
7. High level computer skills in a wide variety of applications/programs, including experience with Diet Office/ Food service IT systems and ability to use information technology effectively in clinical practice
8. Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
