General Practitioner – Rural Aged Care | FIFO 3:1 | Telehealth

We are seeking a General Practitioner to provide high-quality medical care to residents within a rural aged care facility.

This role offers a unique and adaptable 3:1 model, with 3 weeks of telehealth consulting from home followed by 1 week of face-to-face care onsite.

You will provide comprehensive GP services to aged care residents, working collaboratively with the onsite nursing and care team to support ongoing health management and continuity of care.

The role includes:

- Conducting GP consultations via telehealth and face-to-face
- Managing acute and chronic medical conditions
- Medication review and management
- Comprehensive clinical assessments and care planning
- Supporting ongoing management of complex and chronic conditions
- Working collaboratively with nursing and multidisciplinary teams
- Providing continuity of care to residents
- Completing appropriate clinical documentation and referrals

During the onsite week, you will be supported by the facility's nursing team, including nurse chaperone support where required.

About You:

We are looking for a GP who is committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care and is comfortable working independently through telehealth while also engaging collaboratively with the onsite clinical team.

FRACGP or FACRRM, or equivalent specialist qualification

Current AHPRA registration

Experience or interest in aged care medicine

Comfortable providing both telehealth and face-to-face consultations

Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills

Ability to work collaboratively with the onsite nursing team
