Join the team at the Karralyka Centre, a premier theatre and function centre in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.

About the role The Digital Media and Marketing Officer is responsible for delivering digital and social media campaigns including management of Karralyka’s social media channels, electronic news, website administration, print media, communications, branding processes, and database management.

Reporting directly to the Karralyka Theatre Programs and Events Coordinator, this position will also collaborate with Council’s Communications team and wider Business and Precincts services as required.

The role calls for a dynamic and experienced individual who can confidently manage a range of concurrent tasks and campaigns.

What you will need for success:

- Minimum of Diploma level education in Social Media, Marketing, Digital Media or related communications and marketing field.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, design, deliver, and monitor quality social and digital media campaigns and communications with high levels of accuracy, innovation and audience engagement including technical skills in extracting,



monitoring and analysis data metrics related to social and digital media, and to utilise data metrics to inform best practice.
- Advanced operating skills and knowledge of the systems, applications, programs and technologies related to social media and digital media platforms including Microsoft Office Suite, Mail Chimp, Share Point, or similar.
- An appreciation for creative and performing arts services, with an understanding of creative industry audience development and engagement through social and digital media.
- Excellent customer service and written and verbal communication skills, with an acumen for clear, concise and accurate information sharing with both internal and external customers.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage competing tasks, set priorities meet tight timelines, and manage quality outcomes within a busy, collaborative team workplace.
