Esperance Anglican Community School seeks a committed and approachable leader to oversee pastoral care across the school and lead its Boarding House.

This position has become available following the internal promotion of the staff member who previously led both pastoral care and boarding. With boarding and school enrolments at their highest level in the school’s history, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to build on strong foundations and play a key role in the continued growth of both the school and its boarding community.

About the role

Reporting to the Principal, the Director of Pastoral Care and Boarding will develop and guide age-appropriate strategies, structures and programs that support students' wellbeing and their spiritual, emotional and character development. The Director of Pastoral Care and Boarding will help strengthen a positive pastoral culture across the school,



consistent with its vision, values and Anglican tradition. The Director of Pastoral Care and Boarding will also be responsible for the wellbeing of the boarding community along with the day-to-day running of the boarding house which is supported by the Senior Boarding Supervisor.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee pastoral care across the school

- Lead the Boarding House

- Develop and guide age-appropriate strategies, structures and programs that support students' wellbeing and their spiritual, emotional and character development

- Strengthen a positive pastoral culture across the school, consistent with its vision, values and Anglican tradition

- Lead the boarding staff team

- Maintain robust communication with families

- Respond to students' needs

- Ensure the boarding house operates safely and effectively

- Build strong relationships with students, families and staff

- Provide clear direction across both areas of responsibility

- Required to live on campus as this is a residential position





- Must comply with the School's Child Safe Policy and Procedures and Code of Conduct
