You will provide person-centred, high-quality support to NDIS participants, helping them live independently, achieve their goals and actively participate in their communities.
Key responsibilities
- Providing person-centred support in accordance with individual support plans
- Supporting personal care and daily living activities
- Assisting participants with community access and social participation
- Supporting independence, skill development and achievement of NDIS goals
- Supporting participants with medication and health-related needs where trained and authorised
- Following Positive Behaviour Support Plans and participant-specific strategies
- Maintaining participant dignity, privacy, choice and control
- Completing accurate progress notes and required documentation
- Identifying and reporting incidents, risks, hazards and safeguarding concerns
- Working collaboratively with families, support coordinators,
allied health professionals and the Aroona Care team
About you
- Compassionate, respectful and genuinely passionate about supporting people with disability
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Confident working independently and as part of a team
- Strong communicators with valuable documentation skills
- Committed to participant rights, dignity, choice and independence
- Able to follow support plans, policies and procedures
- Willing to undertake required training and competency assessments
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check, where applicable
- First Aid & CPR
