Empowering NDIS participants to live independently, safely and with dignity
We are seeking committed and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our team supporting NDIS participants with daily living, community access, medication assistance and behaviour‑support needs. This role suits workers who are confident in SIL environments, have strong professional boundaries, and can provide high‑quality, person‑centred support.
About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will deliver safe, respectful and consistent support to participants with varying needs. You will assist with personal care, household tasks, transport, medication administration, and implementing individual support plans. You must be confident documenting your shifts clearly and following all NDIS Practice Standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person‑centred support with daily living tasks, personal care and household duties
- Support participants with community access, appointments and social activities
- Administer medication according to charts and organisational policy
- Implement Behaviour Support Plans and use low‑arousal strategies
- Complete accurate shift notes,
incident reports and documentation
- Maintain professional boundaries and uphold NDIS Practice Standards
- Communicate effectively with participants, families and management
- Promote independence, dignity and choice at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Reliable, professional and confident support workers
- Solid communication and documentation skills
- Ability to remain calm and supportive during behavioural escalation
- Understanding of trauma‑informed practice and person‑centred care
- Ability to work independently and follow support plans
- Commitment to safety, compliance and high‑quality care
Mandatory Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Police Check
- First Aid & CPR
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Full working rights in Australia
Highly Desirable
- SIL experience
- Experience supporting participants with complex behaviours
- Medication administration training
- Mental health or community services background
Pay: $32.00 – $79.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 – 38.0 per week
