The Opportunity
Based in Fremantle initially, then transferring to the operational offices in Henderson in FY27, the Document Controller will be responsible for supporting the Landing Craft Heavy (LCH) Program Delivery team by managing project documentation, records and correspondence. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a career in document control, administration or project support within a complex shipbuilding environment.
You will work closely with Program Delivery teams, document owners and stakeholders to ensure important project information is accurate, compliant and readily accessible, playing a key role in supporting successful project delivery.

What's Involved
- Upload, maintain and publish project documentation within document management systems.
- Ensure document metadata, registers and records are accurate and up to date.
- Manage document revisions, approvals and version control processes.
- Perform document control quality checks and compliance activities.
- Coordinate document workflows and follow up outstanding approvals.
- Manage project correspondence and support document submissions to customers.
You'll Need - Essential
- Previous administration, records management or document control experience, or relevant tertiary/vocational studies.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word.
- Eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance.
You'll Need - Desirable
- Certificate III or IV in Business Administration, Records Management or a related discipline.
- Experience using electronic document management systems.
- Exposure to project, engineering, construction or manufacturing environments.
- Understanding of quality management systems and document compliance requirements.
- Experience working within Defence or maritime environments.
