The Organisation is seeking a detail-oriented Investment Operations Coordinator to support the smooth running of our investment function.
This role sits at the intersection of governance, reporting and donor communication - ensuring the Investment Committee, investment partners, fund managers and Shariah Advisor are well-coordinated, and that donors receive timely, accurate reporting on fund performance.Key responsibilitiesPrepare board and committee papers, performance packs and briefing materials ahead of Investment Committee meetingsTake minutes, track action items and follow up on outstanding decisionsAct as the coordination point between fund managers, the Investment Committee and the Shariah AdvisorSchedule reviews, circulate documentation, and ensure Shariah compliance sign-off is obtained on relevant investment decisionsPrepare monthly investment performance analyses across the fund portfolioMonitor fund manager performance against benchmarks and flag material variancesCalculate and issue quarterly unit pricing for all donorsMaintain accurate records of unit holdings and valuations, ensuring consistency with fund manager statementsProduce quarterly investment reports for donors, the Board and internal stakeholdersEnsure reports are clear, accurate and appropriately reviewed prior to distributionAdditional responsibilitiesMaintain the investment policy statement, risk register and compliance calendar (meeting dates, filing deadlines,



reporting cycles)Support annual audit processes with investment-related documentation and reconciliationsAssist with due diligence on prospective fund managers and current investment opportunitiesMaintain an up-to-date record of Shariah Advisor rulings/approvals relevant to investment decisionsSupport ad hoc analysis for the Executive Director and Board on requestAbout youExperience in investment operations, fund administration, or financial reporting (funds management, superannuation or wealth management background highly regarded)Strong Excel/analytical skills; comfort working with fund manager statements and unit pricing calculationsHigh attention to detail and comfort working with confidential financial informationExcellent written communication skills for donor- and board-facing reportingAbility to work independently in a remote, part-time capacity, coordinating across multiple stakeholdersUnderstanding of, or willingness to learn, Islamic finance and Sharia-compliant investment principlesFamiliarity with the waqf/endowment sector or not-for-profit governance is a plusAbout usThe organisation is an endowment for a registered charity managing Islamic endowment funds and estate planning services, dedicated to building sustainable, Shariah-compliant giving structures that generate long-term impact for the Australian Muslim community.
