HR & Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor with an S26 qualification to join a respected industrial services organisation with an international presence and extensive experience across mining, resources, energy and heavy industry.

With an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth, 12-hour days and attractive remuneration, the role offers project work planned through to July 2027, with potential for further opportunities.

Reporting to the Project Manager or Site Manager, you will supervise electricians, trades assistants and subcontractors across electrical installation, maintenance, shutdown, testing and commissioning activities.

You will take ownership of daily work planning, crew coordination, safety and quality, while working closely with the client and wider construction team to keep activities progressing.

Your duties will include:

- Planning daily and weekly electrical activities, including labour, materials, equipment and site access.

- Coordinating permits and isolations and confirming work areas are ready before activities commence.

- Allocating tasks and checking personnel hold the required licences, competencies and authorisations.

- Reviewing electrical drawings, work packs, specifications and risk assessments with your team.





- Supervising electrical works to meet project specifications, applicable Australian Standards and site procedures.

- Coordinating electricians, trades assistants and subcontractors across work fronts.

- Overseeing inspections, testing and commissioning activities, including preparation for energisation and return to service.

- Leading pre-start meetings, toolbox talks and workplace inspections.

- Identifying hazards and addressing unsafe practices or non-compliant work promptly.

- Monitoring progress, resolving site constraints and escalating issues that may affect delivery.

- Maintaining accurate progress reports, site records and shift handovers.

- Providing practical technical guidance, coaching and support to your team.

- Working closely with project management, client representatives and other disciplines to coordinate activities.

Requirements for the role

- Electrical trade qualification.

- Current, unrestricted WA Electrical Worker’s Licence.

- Current S26 qualification suitable for the site’s supervisory appointment requirements - highly desirable

- Demonstrated electrical supervisory experience in mining or heavy industry.

- Experience leading electrical crews and subcontractors.

- Proven ability to plan work and coordinate labour, equipment and materials.

- Experience managing permit and isolation requirements.





- Sound knowledge of WA electrical requirements, applicable Australian Standards and safe work practices.

- Current White Card

- Current Australian driver’s licence.

- Current CPR and Low Voltage Rescue.

- Ability to work an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth, with 12-hour days.

- Ability to meet site access and pre-employment requirements.

- Previous FIFO or mine site experience, Rio Tinto induction, will be highly regarded.

- Experience with fixed plant, construction, shutdowns or commissioning will be highly regarded.

- A current Rio Tinto site induction, or previous induction that can be verified and updated, is highly desirable but not mandatory.
