About the role

You'll work across a mix of projects and service work, with opportunities to develop experience in commercial electrical installations and fit-outs, residential electrical installations and upgrades, service, maintenance and fault finding, switchboards and electrical infrastructure, data and communications, security, access control and CCTV, mechanical electrical and air conditioning connections, and emergency lighting and essential services maintenance. Your work will reflect your experience and strengths, with opportunities to learn other areas of the trade alongside the team.

Key responsibilities

- Completing electrical installations, testing, maintenance and repairs
- Reading drawings and planning your work
- Diagnosing faults and finding practical solutions
- Working independently and alongside other tradespeople and apprentices
- Communicating clearly with customers, builders and the team
- Keeping accurate job records, test results and site photos
- Delivering neat, safe work you're proud to put your name to

About you

- A current Tasmanian Electrical Licence
- Construction White Card
- Current driver's licence
- Good installation and fault-finding skills
- The ability to organise your day and work independently
- A reliable, practical approach and willingness to help the team
- Professional communication with customers and other trades
- Pride in quality workmanship and a commitment to safety
- Commercial experience would be an advantage
