About the Opportunity

WorkConnex is seeking an experienced Level 2 Electrician for an immediate-start opportunity in Sydney.

This role suits a qualified electrician with practical experience in electrical service connections, supply upgrades, fault-finding and network-related work. You will deliver safe, compliant installations, manage jobs professionally and communicate clearly with customers, site teams and network representatives.

Your Responsibilities

Depending on your authorised classes and the project requirements, your duties will include:

- Installing, upgrading and maintaining overhead and underground electrical service connections.
- Completing authorised disconnection, reconnection and energisation work.
- Carrying out single-phase and three-phase supply upgrades.
- Installing and replacing service mains and associated electrical equipment.
- Undertaking switchboard upgrades, defect rectification and connection-related work.
- Diagnosing electrical faults and identifying safe, practical solutions.
- Reading electrical drawings, site plans and job specifications.
- Planning jobs, organising materials and coordinating site access.
- Completing electrical testing,



commissioning and compliance documentation.
- Liaising with customers, builders, other trades and electricity network representatives.
- Preparing site risk assessments and following safe work procedures.
- Supporting apprentices and maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Keeping accurate job records, photographs and completion reports.

All network work must remain within the worker’s current authorisations and the employer’s accredited scope.

What We’re Looking For

- Current NSW electrical licence appropriate to the work.
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Relevant Level 2 ASP worker registration and current electricity distributor authorisations for the work to be undertaken.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience performing Level 2 electrical work.
- Familiarity with Ausgrid and/or Endeavour Energy requirements.
- Current White Card and driver licence.
- Relevant, current safety training and refresher competencies.
- Strong knowledge of electrical testing, safe isolation and fault-finding.
- Ability to work independently and contribute effectively to a team.
- Explicit communication skills and a professional approach with customers.
- Reliable attendance, sound judgement and strong attention to detail.
- Availability to start ASAP.
