Collective Shift is a fast-growing Australian finance and education business expanding into the US. We help people make sense of digital assets through research, education and expert insights, while our content explores the wider world of investing and the future of finance.

Our founder, Ben Simpson, generates around 2 million short-form content views every month. We’re building on that momentum and looking for an exceptional copywriter to help deepen our relationship with that audience.

Someone who can take a market development, a founder’s perspective or a customer experience and find the story people want to read.

The opportunity

You’ll work directly with Ben and our marketing team to shape how Collective Shift communicates through email.

Our content explores questions people genuinely care about: where finance is heading, how technology is changing investing, what’s happening across crypto and stocks, and how to make sense of an increasingly complex financial world.

You’ll have expert research, founder insights, educational content and real customer experiences to draw from. Your job is to find the strongest angles and turn them into emails that educate, build trust and inspire action.

Your writing will reach an established audience. You’ll see how it performs, learn what resonates and have room to bring your own ideas to life.

As we expand into the US, you’ll also help us develop messaging for a new market.

What you’ll own

Marketing emails that drive action

Write compelling emails that build interest, address questions and objections, and generate qualified enquiries, booked calls and customers.

A weekly newsletter people look forward to

Bring together market developments, useful education and Ben’s perspective in a distinctive voice. Help readers understand what matters across finance, crypto, stocks and technology, and why.

Nurture and campaign sequences





Create email journeys for new subscribers, events, launches and membership offers. Think through what the reader needs to understand and what next step would be useful to them.

Customer stories and case studies

Find the story inside our reviews, interviews and member experiences. Show how our education and support have helped people, using specific, accurate examples.

Ben’s voice

Get to know how Ben thinks and speaks, then capture that naturally in writing. Turn his ideas, videos and conversations into emails that feel personal and engaging.

Fresh angles and continuous improvement

Bring ideas for hooks, subject lines, stories and calls to action. Work with the team to review performance and improve future campaigns.

Who we’re looking for A strong understanding of both investing and crypto is essential for this role.

You actively follow financial markets and understand Bitcoin, digital assets and the principles of investing. You can confidently write about market developments, investor behaviour, risk and long-term wealth building, while keeping your explanations clear and your claims accurate.

You enjoy researching a topic, asking positive questions and finding the detail that makes a story compelling. You understand both the craft of writing and the commercial purpose behind it.

You’ll bring

- Demonstrated knowledge of investing and crypto, supported by relevant writing samples.
- Proven experience writing email and direct-response campaigns that generated meaningful results.
- The ability to turn financial research and market developments into compelling stories and campaign angles.
- Experience capturing a founder’s or personal brand’s voice.
- Strong judgement around customer awareness, objections, offers and calls to action.
- Confidence turning interviews, research and video content into original copy.




- A proactive approach to ideas, deadlines, feedback and testing.
- Care for accuracy and the trust readers place in financial content.

Experience with financial publishers, crypto businesses, investment newsletters or investing education brands is highly relevant. Experience with Agora or similar direct-response publishers is a bonus.

We’ll review clicks, replies, booked calls, conversions and list health together, taking the wider customer journey into account.

The arrangement

This is a remote, part-time contractor opportunity. We’re open to exploring the right arrangement depending on the person.

We’ll agree on scope, hours and rates together, with some overlap with Australian working hours for collaboration. There’s room for the relationship to grow as the business expands.
