About the Role

Reporting to the Coordinator Universal Maternal and Child Health the core responsibilities include:

- Delivering the MCH service in line with the Maternal and Child Health Service Practice Guidelines 2009, Maternal & Child Health Program Service Standards 2011 and updated Maternal and Child Health Service Guidelines 2019.
- An innovative approach to flexible service delivery that will encourage access and participation for all families with children aged 0 to 6 years on the Mornington Peninsula.
- Working with families to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for children using a strength- based, family centred-focused approach.
- Working within the Universal MCH service including when required,



delivering the Sleep and Settling Program, Outreach programs and First Time Parent Groups.

About You

- Havea positive, professional, and enthusiastic attitude about working within a team
- Are flexible and responsive to the changing needs of families
- Hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as both a Registered Nurse (Division 1) and Midwife and hold a Post Graduate Diploma/Masters in Child and Family Health Nursing
- Have a good understanding of primary health care, health promotion and early intervention and referral
- Understand the Victorian Maternal and Child Health Practice Guidelines, Program Standards and the updated Maternal and Child Health Service Guidelines (2019)
- Hold a valid Victorian driver licence and access to a registered motor vehicle.
