Lead a Major Digital Transformation in Central West Queensland!
Role Title: Lead Client-Side ERP Project Manager / Owner’s Representative (SaaS ERP Implementation)
Location: Central West Queensland (Subsidised Onsite Accommodation Provided)
Duration: ~17 Months (Mobilisation through Go-Live & Stabilisation)
Engagement Type: Contract
We are assembling a high-performing client-side advisory team to lead a Council’s major digital transformation—transitioning from legacy systems (Practical Plus) to Civica Authority Altitude SaaS ERP .
We are seeking a Lead Consultant (and supporting specialist team members) who can represent Council's best interests, manage vendor accountability, drive organisational change, and ensure a seamless rollout across the Shire’s townships.
What Makes This Opportunity Unique?
- True Client-Side Advocacy: You represent Council—governing vendor delivery, managing scope/risk, and protecting Council's operational interests.
- Onsite Presence & Community Connection: Council is backing this project with dedicated local support, including subsidised accommodation onsite for a lead consultant willing to maintain a substantial onsite presence.
- End-to-End Authority: Lead a ~17-month journey encompassing mobilisation, business process optimisation, data migration assurance, testing, and stabilisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Representative: Serve as primary advisor to Executive Leadership and Steering Committees.
- Vendor Governance: Hold Civica accountable for technical deliverables,
migration schedules, and SLA commitments.
- Data & Process Assurance: Coordinate Council’s data cleansing, validation, and UAT sign-offs without having to execute the vendor's technical ETL work.
- Change Leadership: Champion change readiness and user adoption across a small, dedicated rural workforce.
- Team Orchestration: Lead a small blended team of client-side specialists (Change, Governance, Data Assurance).
Key Requirements
1. Proven ERP Delivery Track Record: Direct experience as a lead consultant, client-side PM, or delivery lead on major enterprise system projects (Civica, TechnologyOne, or equivalent).
2. Local Government Expertise: Robust understanding of Queensland local government compliance, rating, finance, payroll, and asset management functions.
3. 17-Month Availability: Full commitment to the lifecycle of the project.
4. Onsite Commitment: Ability to reside or spend continuous/substantial time on site in Central West Queensland.
5. Team & Referees: A current CV outlining 3 comparable projects with verifiable client referees.
