About the role
Play a key role in creating a positive, connected team culture where educators feel supported, valued and empowered to do their best work. You champion high-quality education and care, work closely with families and stakeholders, and help create a warm, inclusive and welcoming centre where every child and family feels supported including families who may be experiencing vulnerability or additional challenges. You’ll also provide strong operational leadership, ensuring the centre meets regulatory and quality standards.
About you
You are a confident and people-focused leader who knows that great early learning starts with a great team. You enjoy bringing people together, creating a positive culture and turning big-picture goals into practical outcomes. You’ll bring a genuine commitment to creating safe, welcoming and inclusive environments for children, along with the resilience, judgement and energy to navigate the opportunities and challenges that come with leading an Early Learning Centre. Your key experience will include:
- A relevant degree or Diploma in Children’s Services, or equivalent experience.
- Around five years’ experience in a similar leadership role within an Early Learning Centre environment.
- Strong knowledge of the National Quality Standards, National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework.
- Experience leading teams,
developing educators and delivering high-quality education and care programs.
- A sound understanding of relevant early childhood legislation, regulations, child protection and Child Care Subsidy requirements.
- The ability to build strong relationships with children, families, educators and key stakeholders.
- Experience managing budgets, financial performance, compliance and continuous improvement.
- Current WA Working with Children Check and driver’s license
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 6 months)
