The Opportunity

McArthur is proud to partner with Eyre Peninsula Old Folks Home Inc (Pioneer Village) in the recruitment of its next Chief Executive Officer.

Serving the lower Eyre Peninsula community since 1955, Pioneer Village is a respected, community-based, not-for-profit organisation providing residential aged care and independent living. With 74 residential aged care beds across Pioneer Village and Bishop Lodge, along with 37 independent living units, the organisation is committed to supporting older Australians to live with dignity, independence and a strong sense of belonging.

Reporting directly to the Board of Management, the Chief Executive Officer will provide strategic, operational and cultural leadership, ensuring the organisation continues to deliver high-quality, person-centred care while navigating an evolving aged care landscape.

This is an opportunity for an experienced and values-driven leader to build on the organisation's strong foundations, guide its future direction and maintain its position as a trusted provider of aged care within the region.

About the Role

Working closely with the Board and a dedicated leadership team, the CEO will be responsible for:

- Driving strategic planning, organisational performance and long-term financial sustainability.
- Providing strong operational leadership across residential aged care, independent living and corporate services.
- Ensuring compliance with the Aged Care Act 2024, the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant regulatory requirements.




- Leading organisational change, continuous improvement and future service and facility development.
- Fostering a positive, accountable and inclusive workplace culture that attracts, develops and retains quality staff.
- Strengthening clinical governance, risk management and quality systems to support safe, rights-based care.
- Building meaningful relationships with residents, families, staff, community stakeholders, health partners and regulatory bodies.

About You

We are seeking an accomplished and approachable executive who can balance strategic vision with practical, hands-on leadership.

You will bring demonstrated senior leadership experience in aged care, health, community services or a similarly regulated sector, together with strong financial acumen, sound governance capabilities and experience working effectively with a Board.

An understanding of the aged care regulatory environment, clinical governance and the challenges facing regional service providers will be highly regarded.

Importantly, you will be a collaborative and resilient leader who can inspire others, manage change and build a culture of accountability, compassion and continuous improvement.

Experience in the not-for-profit sector, regional service delivery and relevant tertiary qualifications will be advantageous.
