Experienced Early Childhood Sports Coaches (Ages 2-5)

Location: Key focus on Craigieburn, Greenvale, Lalor, Mernda, and Wallan, with additional programs running across North West Melbourne (including Caroline Springs, Essendon, Footscray, Ascot Vale, Melton, Sunshine, and Bundoora).

Job Type: Casual (5 - 15 hours per week). Note: Additional hours will readily be offered once you are established and demonstrate consistent reliability, enthusiasm, and professionalism.

Pay Rates: Strictly aligned with the Fitness Industry Award Level 3A to ensure full Fair Work compliance. Rates are based on age:

- 18 years of age: $27.61 per hour
- 19 years of age: $31.29 per hour
- 20+ years of age: $36.81 per hour

About Us Kelly Sports has been Australia's leading provider of children's sports programs since 1994. Our mission is to give children of every ability a lifelong love of sport and physical activity. We pride ourselves on creating fun, supportive, and inclusive environments where kids feel encouraged to be active and learn fundamental movement skills. The Chance We are exclusively seeking highly experienced sports coaches who specialise in early childhood development to deliver our Pre-School Programs. In this role, you will confidently facilitate 20-30 minute fundamental motor skill sessions for children aged 2 to 5 years old within early learning centres and kindergartens.

You will need consistent weekday morning availability, typically between 8:45 AM and 12:00 PM during the school term.





And from 3pm-5pm if looking to gain more hours through our after-school programs in primary schools.

What We Are Looking For This is not an entry-level coaching position. We require enthusiastic, professional, and highly reliable coaches with significant prior experience working with young children. You must already possess a strong foundation in managing and instructing highly energetic pre-schoolers.

Key Skills & Attributes:

- Extensive, proven experience working with and coaching children, specifically in the 2 to 5-year-old age bracket.
- The ability to seamlessly teach, manage, and control groups of pre-schoolers.
- An engaging coaching style with a strict emphasis on fun, enjoyment, maximum participation, and skill development.
- High-level interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with centre staff, parents, and children.
- Punctual, reliable, and exceptionally professional.

Mandatory Requirements (Non-Negotiable):

- A valid Driver's Licence and your own car (essential for travelling between our North West Melbourne venues).
- An Employee Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain immediately).
- A National Police Check dated within the last 30 days.
- HLTAID012 First Aid in an Education Care Setting (or willingness to obtain immediately).

Pay: $27.61 – $36.81 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 – 15.0 per week
