About Us: Aura Restaurant is an exciting new upscale dining venue opening soon in Kangaroo Point, Brisbane. We are bringing a sophisticated, high-end culinary concept to the area, blending top-tier modern cuisine with exceptional hospitality. We are building our core leadership team from the ground up and looking for a passionate, dynamic Floor Manager to run the front-of-house.

The Role: As our Floor Manager, you will be the right-hand partner to our Head Chef. You will take full ownership of the front-of-house operations, ensuring seamless communication between the floor and the kitchen, and delivering an unforgettable, flawless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage, lead, and mentor front-of-house staff (waiters, runners, bartenders) to maintain elite service standards.
- Coordinate service flow, table turn rates, and timing directly with the kitchen brigade.
- Oversee guest relations, handle VIP bookings, and resolve any guest inquiries or issues with absolute poise and professionalism.
- Train the team on menu knowledge, wine/beverage pairings, and high-end service etiquette.
- Maintain overall presentation, ambiance, and smooth day-to-day operations of the dining room.

What We Are Looking For:





- Proven experience as a Floor Manager, Head Waiter, or Maître d’ within fine dining, upscale, or high-concept restaurants.
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, positive, and proactive attitude.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to keep a cool head under high-pressure service conditions.
- A solid understanding of kitchen-to-floor coordination and pacing.
- Immaculate presentation and outstanding communication skills.
- Must have full, permanent, unrestricted full-time working rights in Australia (Please note: Working Holiday Visas and Student Visas will not be considered for this permanent role).
