About the team The Civil Services team at Council is currently welcoming expressions of interest from anyone with experience in operation of powered mobile plant within Council's Civil Engineering branch. Day to day duties include:
- Day to day operation of a variety of powered mobile plant, which can include but is not limited to front-end loader, backhoe, skid steer, excavator, roller, stabiliser, heavy trucks and other equpment.
- Participate in civil construction projects including but not limited to road construction, parks maintenance, and stormwater drainage.
- Inspections of various Council infrastructure across the Shire to ensure our roads and facilities are safe and in good repair.
Remuneration starts at $1,118.30 per week, but shall also attract Adverse Working Conditions allowance and overtime and other allowances are payable where applicable. Why work for Inverell Shire Council?

- NSW Class C Drivers Licence, or preferably a NSW Class HR licence or higher.
- SafeWork NSW Traffic Controller (TCR) and Implement Traffic Control Plans (IMP) accreditation.
- SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction card ('White Card').
- Plant operation experience and competencies in Grader, Front End Loader, Skid Steer, Excavator, Backhoe, Stabiliser, Roller or other powered mobile plant.
