Female Disability Support Worker - Salisbury North | 23–25 Hrs/Week
Casual | Immediate Start | $45-$81 per hour
Connecting Your Care is seeking an experienced female Disability Support Worker for a regular ongoing role supporting a woman in her 50s with an acquired brain injury and physical support needs in Salisbury North.
PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING:
This role involves hands-on personal care, regular split shifts, and working in a home where the participant smokes cigarettes in her bedroom. While the participant does not smoke directly around workers, the applicant is required to provide support within this room, so applicants must be genuinely comfortable working around residual cigarette smoke.
Please only apply if you can commit to this roster on an ongoing basis. Additional hours with other CYC participants may become available. Weekends can be shared bewteen support team so not every weekend is required if you have personal commitments.
The Role
Supports include
- Showering, dressing and personal care
- Toileting/continence support
- Cleaning and maintaining a commode
- Mobility and light manual handling
- Domestic assistance and meal preparation
- Community access and appointments
- Supporting established daily routines
- Progress notes/documentation
The participant also has a friendly dog and cat inside the home.
About You
You will need
- Experience providing hands-on personal care
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- First Aid & CPR
- Driver's licence and reliable insured vehicle
- Excellent communication and reliability
- Confidence working independently and following the participant's individual routines and preferences
- Comfort working around indoor cigarette smoke and pets
We're looking for someone warm, patient, bubbly and reliable who is interested in building a genuine, long-term relationship with the participant.

This role provides a robust base of 23-25 regular hours with one participant, with opportunities to gradually build additional hours with other participants if you wish.
