About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated, reliable, and engaging Casual Disability Support Worker to build a consistent, positive, and long-term working relationship with a young adult participant in Walliston, WA. This highly rewarding role exists to foster independence, build life skills, and facilitate active community participation. You will be fully supported with paid buddy shifts and comprehensive training tailored to this specific participant.Regular Rostered ShiftsWe provide secure, predictable weekly shifts so you can easily balance your lifestyle:

- Wednesday: 10:00am – 5:00pm (Regular weekly shift)
- Thursday: 9:00am – 2:00pm / 9:00am – 3:00pm (Alternating fortnightly roster)
- Tuesday: 9:00am – 5:00pm (Initially an on-call/fill-in shift, transitioning to a regular weekly shift for the right candidate)

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Community Access: Facilitating local community outings and supporting the participant during their scheduled recreational activities and Volunteering.
- Hydrotherapy: Actively participating in and supporting the participant during aquatic and hydrotherapy sessions in the pool.
- Transport: Providing protected transport to and from allied health appointments and community locations using your own vehicle.
- Goal Progression: Encouraging and guiding the participant to build daily living skills and achieve their individual NDIS independence goals.

About You: To be successful in this role, you will be a patient, engaging person who genuinely cares about empowering others.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional disability support experience.
- Communication Skills: Must speak fluent English. Experience using visual supports and communication strategies is highly regarded, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Pool Comfort:



You must be completely comfortable swimming and entering the pool for recreational and hydrotherapy when required.
- Gender Requirement: Female. (Note: A lawful exemption under Section 27 of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 applies to this role, in accordance with the participant and family’s genuine occupational requirements for personal privacy).

Mandatory Compliance & Qualifications
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (or in progress)
- Current National Police Clearance
- Valid First Aid & CPR Certificates
- Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Disability, or an equivalent qualification
- Unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence
- Reliable, roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
