Applus+ is seeking an experienced Temporary Equipment & QA/QC Inspector to join our team on a FIFO 2:2 roster from Perth, supporting a major Tier 1 Oil & Gas operation, on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a globally recognised inspection and technical services provider, contributing to the safe and productive delivery of critical inspection and asset integrity activities.

About the Role

As a Temporary Equipment & QA/QC Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting Temporary Equipment (TE) inspections, QA/QC materials inspections and release activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards, client specifications and project requirements.

Working closely with coordinators, site personnel and key stakeholders, you will play a vital role in supporting safe operations and maintaining high-quality inspection outcomes across site.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct Temporary Equipment mechanical inspections in accordance with applicable standards, procedures and guidelines.
- Perform QA/QC and materials release inspections for equipment and materials destined for site.
- Liaise with coordinators to manage daily inspection schedules and priorities.
- Attend site pre-start meetings and contribute to safe and efficient work execution.
- Ensure temporary equipment complies with applicable standards, specifications and risk assessment requirements.
- Identify, document and report defects, non-conformances and equipment anomalies.
- Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate records and documentation.




- Provide technical advice and support relating to Temporary Equipment and QA/QC activities.
- Assist in mentoring and developing other inspectors.
- Maintain compliance with all safety, environmental and quality requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of inspection processes and checklists.

Essential Requirements

- WA A-Class Electrical Licence
- Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA) qualification
- AICIP Inspector qualification and/or Mechanical Trade Certificate with demonstrated industry experience
- Proven industry experience within Oil & Gas, Resources or Industrial environments

Desirable

- Temporary Equipment inspection experience
- QA/QC inspection experience
- Hazardous Area inspection experience
- Oil & Gas, LNG or heavy industrial experience
- Robust understanding of industry codes, standards and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Current Australian working rights
