Wheelchair Sports NSW/ACT is seeking a capable and purpose-driven Finance Manager to oversee financial operations while providing practical HR support across the organisation. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working across finance and organisational operations, and wants to contribute to the growth and sustainability of wheelchair sports.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day finance, accounts, payroll, budgeting and reporting
- Prepare financial statements, forecasts and management reports to the leadership team, the board and funding bodies
- Maintain financial controls, compliance and governance processes
- Manage HR administration, employee records and payroll
- Support employee recruitment and onboarding
- Maintain HR policies, procedures and compliance with employment legislation
- Identify opportunities to improve finance, HR and operational systems
About you
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Senior Accountant or Finance Manager
- Relevant qualifications in finance/accounting, including CPA qualification
- Solid financial management and reporting skills
- Practical knowledge of Australian employment legislation and HR processes
- Experience with payroll and accounting systems, especially MYOB
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation and communication skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach and ability to work independently
- Experience in sport, not-for-profit or disability organisations will be highly regarded
