This is a full-time fire safety technician position with immediate start. You will be responsible for inspecting, testing and maintaining fire safety equipment across multiple sites, working independently to manage your daily workload.
Key responsibilities
- Inspecting, testing and maintaining fire safety equipment
- Servicing fire extinguishers, fire blankets and fire hose reels
- Inspecting exit and emergency lighting
- Inspecting smoke alarms and detection equipment
- Identifying defects and providing clear, detailed technician notes
- Completing electronic service reports accurately
- Communicating professionally with building managers, clients and occupants
- Maintaining company tools, equipment, stock and work vehicle
- Carrying out work in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and company procedures
About you
- Previous experience within the fire protection industry
- Good practical knowledge of routine fire equipment inspection and testing
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Able to work independently and manage your daily workload
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable, organised and professional
- Comfortable using a tablet or mobile device for electronic reporting
- Ideally located in the Sutherland Shire or surrounding areas
