We are seeking an experienced and organised Fleet Manager to oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of our vehicle fleet. the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant, reliable and efficiently managed while supporting drivers and maintaining strong operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations and administration of the company vehicle fleet
- Coordinate vehicle servicing, maintenance, repair and inspections.
- Monitor vehicle registration, insurance, roadworthiness and compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate fleet records, documentation and maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate vehicle allocation, replacement and disposal when required.
- Monitor fuel usage, vehicle costs and overall fleet performance.
- Liaise with mechanics, suppliers, insurance providers and other external service providers.
- Manage breakdowns, accidents and vehicle-related incidents.
- Support drivers with fleet-related issues and ensure company policies are followed.
- Monitor driver compliance, licences and relevant documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve fleet efficiency and reduce operating costs.
- Prepare fleet reports and provide regular updates to management.
- Ensure workplace health and safety requirements are followed across fleet operations.
About You The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience in fleet management, transport operations or a similar role.
- Solid organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance and compliance requirements.
- Experience managing suppliers and service providers.
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Good computer and administration skills.
- Current Australian driver’s licence.
